North Zealand International School (NIS) is a co-educational day school located in Hørsholm, north of Copenhagen, serving students from age 3 to 18. As the international wing of NGG, Denmark’s largest private school, it offers an environment where global students interact with the local Danish community. The curriculum begins with the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), followed by Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE programs, and culminates in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. NIS is notably the only IPC-accredited school in Denmark. A distinctive feature is its "Cirkelhuset" building and the integrated "SportsCollege," which allows students to combine education with professional sports coaching. The school also hosts a unique after-school community called "Svanereden," where international and Danish learners build friendships through shared play and creative projects. Sustainability is central to the program, with the UN Sustainable Development Goals integrated into student-led initiatives and project-based learning.
