Sekolah Djuwita Batam is a private international school in Batam offering a dual Cambridge International and Merdeka Curriculum with National Plus status. The school delivers Cambridge Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Levels alongside Indonesia's Merdeka Curriculum, earning a certificate from Indonesia's Ministry of Education. Cambridge elements are delivered in partnership with Cambridge International Education, adhering to Cambridge teachers' standards and involving Checkpoint, IGCSE and AS/A Levels examinations. The Merdeka strand uses Dinas standard books and covers all mandated subjects. The curriculum is multilingual, with Bahasa Indonesian, English and Mandarin (100% Bahasa Indonesian, 100% English and 20% Mandarin). Established in 1995 by founder Djuwita Barak Rimba, the school was Batam's first preschool and the first National Plus institution. It operates two campuses: Batam Center and a Preschool campus, both maintained to high standards with 24/7 surveillance and on-site security. Extracurriculars include arts, sports, academic competitions and leadership programs.
