Introduction

Saulės Gojus is a private school in Vilnius offering bilingual education in Lithuanian and English for students from kindergarten to age 18. The bespoke curriculum centres on developing the competence to learn through a coherent pathway. In primary, learning is integrated through thematic content and projects that connect knowledge to real-life contexts. In secondary, study is self-directed, with lessons and independent work guided by mentors. English is used as an everyday learning tool and a language of instruction for parts of the curriculum under CLIL, with a second foreign language available from grade 5. A team (special educator, psychologist, speech and language therapist, social educator) supports diverse needs. The timetable includes weekly theatre, chess, IT and aikido, with learning communities and clubs that emphasise collaboration and intercultural communication. The school fosters independence and creativity, hosting Morning Circles and Learning Labs and promoting wellbeing through Zippys Friends and outdoor camps too.
