Two campuses in the Montevideo region: Sede Pocitos at Av. Dr. Fco. Soca 1356, Montevideo 11300, and Sede Carrasco at Av. Giannattasio 9325 Km. 16, Canelones 11500. Pocitos is a coastal neighborhood in southern Montevideo; Carrasco is in the nearby Carrasco area. Both campuses have libraries with materials in German, English, and Spanish, plus modern classrooms, science laboratories, computer rooms, and spaces for art and music. The Carrasco campus features a large gym (Sporthalle) and outdoor sports fields, while Pocitos offers three gyms, a theatre and the Humboldt Room for events.

Curricular day: 1st–2nd year 8:00–12:35 with some days finishing at 14:00; 3rd–6th year 8:00–14:35. Afternoon: 1st–2nd year activities until 15:00; Kreativzeit extension 15:00–16:30. 3rd–6th year activities from 15:00–16:20; extracurricular activities from 15:00–18:30 (times vary by activity).

We offer a trilingual education with German from early education and English introduced in the third year of Primary, within a bicultural environment that blends Uruguayan and German cultures. From 7th grade onward, students choose between Plan DIA and Plan Nacional; the DIA culminates with the Deutsches Internationales Abitur. The school issues official language certificates as part of the DIA and Plan Nacional, including Deutsches Sprachdiplom I (DSD I), Deutsches Sprachdiplom II (DSD II), and the Abitur; in Primary, progression uses Internationale Vergleichsarbeit (IVA). Seiteneinsteiger integration courses welcome students with no prior German knowledge, with two-year integration for Primary and 7th–8th grade entry under Plan Nacional in Secondary. German-language support for Primary, a German-language course for parents via Zoom, and an English program from 3rd Primary through Secondary offering Cambridge exams (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE), with the school sometimes covering exam costs for interested students. Spanish for beginners is available for students whose mother tongue is German.

The Secondary offers two study tracks: Plan DIA (Deutsches Internationales Abitur) and Plan Nacional. The DIA culminates in the Abitur, enabling direct access to universities in Germany and many European universities. The school is officially recognized by Germany as an 'Excellent German School Abroad' and ANEP-recognized, ensuring recognition of its diploma for higher education. An Exchange program with German schools provides a pathway to study in Germany and other opportunities.

Education Initial admissions (Kinder): The enrollment process begins the year before entry to Kinder to establish a warm connection between the child, family, and the school. The age bands are MATERNAL (11–23 months; born 01/03/2024–31/03/2025), PRE-KINDERGARTEN PK (2–3 years; born 01/05/2022–28/02/2024), KINDERGARTEN KG (4 years old by April 30 of the entry year), and VORSCHULE VS (5 years old by April 30 of the entry year). The enrollment steps are: 1. Interview with Kinder supervision (optional). 2. Documentation: submit the student form provided by the school, the Admission Application signed by both parents, one passport photo, copies of the student's and parents' identification, birth certificate or marriage certificate, a physical-aptitude certificate as indicated on the student's MSP card, copies of reports from the previous institution if applicable, and copies of any relevant specialists' reports. 3. Acceptance of the enrollment: the school notifies parents by an acceptance letter and requests the initial payment to confirm the enrollment. 4. Visit: for Kindergarten and Vorschule, a group visit of the child is coordinated toward the end of the year. For Vorschule entrants, before the start of the school year, a school pass and a debt-free certificate from the previous institution (if coming from private schools) must be provided.

Primary admissions: The school opens to new students in all Primary grades (subject to available slots). The enrollment begins the year prior to entry to foster a warm, close connection between the student, family, and the school. The steps are: 1. Interview: an interview with the Primary Director is conducted, with a guided visit available. 2. Documentation: complete student form, Admission Application signed by both parents, passport photo, copies of student and parent IDs, birth certificate, physical-aptitude certificate, authorization for the use of the student's image, copies of reports from specialists if applicable, and for students from outside the country, the last year's official school document apostilled and translated if required (Mercosur rules may vary). 3. Evaluation of the student's profile and needs: interview with the psychology department and assessment of academic contents. 4. Acceptance: the school notifies parents with an acceptance letter and requests the initial payment to confirm enrollment. Students coming from other institutions must provide a school pass and a “libre de deuda” certificate prior to the start of the school year.

Secondary admissions: The school opens to new Secondary students (subject to slots). The available programs include the DIA plan (dependent on German language level) and the National Plan. Levels include Educación Básica Integrada (EBI) for 7th–8th grades, 9th EBI (entry subject to German level), and Educación Media Superior (EMS) for 1st–2nd years (entry to DIA subject to authorization). The steps are: 1. Informative interview (option of a guided visit). 2. Documentation: all entrants provide the last level report, a signed Admission Application, copies of specialist reports if applicable, the school's student form, socio-familial and personal forms, DGI Form 3102, a debt-free certificate if coming from a private institution, an image-use authorization, copies of legal responsibility documents if applicable, current student and parent IDs, the MSP health card, and the Enrollment and Regulations forms, plus two passport photos. For entrants to 7.° EBI, a school pass and a certificate of academic sufficiency are required; for entrants to 8.° EBI, a school pass (Form 69) is required with destination to the school. 3. Profile evaluation: interviews with the psychological department and the administration with parents and student present. 4. Confirmation: the school notifies parents with an acceptance letter and requests the initial payment to confirm enrollment. For foreign entrants, the prior studies must be revalidated by the Consejo de Educación Secundaria (CES) after arrival, and the level is assigned accordingly.

Visitantes (Gastschüler) [Visiting Students]: The school regularly welcomes visiting students at all levels, who actively participate in classes and activities. Requirements include authorization to be absent from the home school and, ideally, Spanish knowledge. The stay can be flexibly organized during the school year (early March to late November) with a minimum duration of three months. The enrollment steps are: 1. Pre-registration: submit a copy of the last report and passport copies of the student and guardians to the school via email. 2. Interview: a virtual interview with the General Director or the Primary Director. 3. Enrollment documents: after pre-registration, receive all further information and the necessary enrollment forms. Important notes: at the end of the stay, visiting students receive a performance report but not an official report card; wearing the school uniform is mandatory; Uruguay's education regulations require a current health certificate for participation in sports, trips, and camps, which is arranged after arrival. Visiting students pay the standard tuition for their level.
